My Approach

Healing is not one size fits all. My approach is shaped around your whole self — your history, your nervous system, and the parts of you that have been waiting to be seen.

I work from a trauma-informed, parts-based foundation.

That means I do not just look at your symptoms — I look at the whole story behind them. I bring warmth, curiosity, and deep respect for your pace into every session. And I use two incredible, effective and evidence-based approaches: Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Every part of you makes sense. Even the ones you have been trying to silence.

Internal Family Systems – commonly known as IFS – is a gentle, evidence-based therapy that understands the mind as a naturally complex system of distinct parts, each with its own role, history, and intention. Rather than labeling thoughts or behaviors as problems to be eliminated, IFS gets curious about them.

At the heart of this approach is a core belief: that within you lives an innate wisdom called Self – a calm, compassionate, and curious presence that is always there, even when it feels out of reach. Therapy is the process of reconnecting with that Self and learning to lead your life from that grounded place.

From there, the work becomes one of gentle exploration – listening to the parts of you that have been quietly holding pain, rather than pushing them aside. As those parts feel truly heard, old wounds begin to soften, self-understanding deepens, and a natural resilience rises to the surface. Many people find this path leads to change that feels real, lasting, and deeply their own.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)

Same memory. Different feeling. Quick Results. That is the power of Accelerated Resolution Therapy.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy® (ART) is a brief, structured psychotherapy that helps people resolve distressing memories and symptoms by reprocessing how those memories are stored in the brain; often in as little as one session. ART integrates eye-movement techniques with image rescripting to reduce emotional and physiological reactivity while clients stay in control throughout the process. Through ART, clients are able to erase negative images associated with memories, resulting in the elimination of corresponding triggers while preserving the factual memory.

You do not have to talk about your trauma.

One of the most meaningful things about ART is that you do not have to narrate your trauma in detail for it to work. You can keep the content of your memories private while still experiencing profound, lasting relief. Your brain does the healing — ART simply creates the conditions for it to happen.

Who is ART good for?

You live with the effects of trauma, such as intrusive memories, flashbacks, or nightmares

You carry the weight of your work, as a Veteran, First Responder, or other professional exposed to difficult or distressing events

You struggle with anxiety, depression, or grief that hasn’t eased with time

You had a negative experience that still feels charged, even when you know the event is over

You've tried talk therapy and sense something is still unresolved

You want focused, efficient care rather than years of weekly sessions

Not sure which approach is right for you? That is okay — reach out and we will figure it out together.
